I hope you are all doing well!

As I’m writing this, a soft snow is falling outside and everything is beautiful. It is soothing to focus on those tiny magical things.

We’ve had to deal with a lot of stress and disappointment last week, but this week is looking up. It’s looking up because we’ve taken small actions and tried our best to be patient and indulgent with ourselves. It’s not always easy, but it is always worthwhile.

In the Atelier, I’ve been practising painting pine cones again, and there is something very peaceful and healing in repeating the same forms again and again, in mixing the same colours again and again. I’m finding comfort in repetition and in creating beautiful little pine cones.

Because I’ve got pine cones on my mind, here are a few pine cone items to bring a bit of forest magic to your every day life and holiday season!

I hope you are all doing well!

This week, I’m a bit of a mess, and I’ve been dealing with a lot of anxiety and frustration. So, please bear with me while I swim through these troubled waters. Nothing major, just a growing feeling of alienation from a world that I don’t recognize or understand. But hey, I’m hanging on to my desk, and it should pass!

I had a lot of Christmas orders to prep and send out, and that has kept me busy. I love packing orders and imagining the lives my products will have in their new homes. It’s always so gratifying to send out my own creations into the world!

I hope you are all doing well!

This week, I expended my office to have more space for a packing station! Orders are starting to come in (I’m so happy and grateful!), and I just couldn’t pack on my painting table anymore. So I did a bit of creative home design and used my teaching filing cabinet and an old door to create this beautifully functional space. I even found a space for some of my favourite artwork by Illulina and Heikala. I’m so pleased to have more space to pack your orders and also to paint and create.

More Christmas products have made their way to the store!

I really struggled with this poinsettia painting, but in the end, I think it looks good! It’s available as a thank you card set and as a sticker sheet.

I had so much fun painting this little pinecone! Pinecones have always been really intimidating to draw to me, so I’m happy to have faced my fears and made this cute little thank you card!

As I’m writing this letter, we had our first snowfall! It’s magical to have snow already. It blankets everything, and it’s beautiful.

In the atelier, things have been both peaceful and busy. Christmas orders are starting to roll in which is exciting and encouraging. I’m also working on some last minute Christmas products to add to the shop.

I spend most mornings painting and practising my watercolour skills. It’s very nice to have this learning space where I can experiment and learn.

Finally, I wanted to share a picture of my Halloween apple pie! It was delicious!

Happy Halloween everyone!

I’m always so excited about this time of the year. Something in the air is more magical than any other time. I’m looking forward to baking some apple pie and pumpkin bread and lighting up a few candles this Saturday. What about you? What are your Halloween traditions?

Even if Halloween is in my heart, Christmas is on my mind. I’ve been working on new Christmas items for my Etsy boutique. It’s so exciting to share new items!

Also, for those of you who were disappointed about my book project, well, I’ve got news for you! I was able to order a few copies of the book, and they have shipped from the printer this morning! If all goes well, I should be able to add them very soon to my Etsy store too. I’m very excited to share my book with you even if it’s going to be a very limited printing this time. Still, it’s good news!

Hello friends,

I hope this finds you happy and healthy!

I know I usually send out the newsletter Wednesday or Thursday, but I worked so hard on some Christmas cards this week, and now that they are done, I just couldn’t wait to share them with you!

For Yule, I made a new series of magical plants cards. It is my selection of 5 plants that have a particular significance for Yule. Once again, it was a realy pleasure to explore the folklore and traditions surrounding these plants and to spend some time on the calligraphy and drawings. I hope you’ll like them too!

Hello friends,

I hope this finds you happy and healthy!

Exciting times! You can now find my work in a lovely store/yoga studio/tea shop!

I’m very excited to see my products, that I make by myself in my little atelier out in the real world!

At the moment, only a few prints are there as we are testing the waters, but I’m hoping that I’ll be able to share more of my work in other local stores soon!

Hello friends,

I hope this finds you happy and healthy!

The kickstarter campaign is over, and it was unfortunately unsuccessful. Still, I’m glad I did it! Thank you so much to all of you who backed my project and shared it with your friends. It made all the difference, and I’m incredibly grateful! If it was your first time on Kickstarter, since the campaign failed to reach its funding goal, you will not be charged. It will be like nothing happened!

I wrote more on this on the blog!
Go check it out 🙂

In the atelier, I’m practicing painting mushrooms, and it is so much fun! The woods behind our house is filled with mushrooms and lovely colours, and it’s such a pleasure to be able to draw and paint from nature.

I’m already looking forward to Yule with this beautiful calligraphy piece that you can find as a print and a card. Don’t miss out on Samhain which is also coming up really soon!

It felt really good to work on some calligraphy pieces this week. Calligraphy has such a nice slow pace that requires all my attention.

One last thing,

You mean that I can watch real animals live anytime I want? Including bears, and whales, and bats, and birds?
