I hope you are all doing well!
Remember last week when I told you that I was tackling a new sweater knitting project and that all my previous sweater projects had failed? Well, I did it again folks! I finished the colour work on the sweater, and now I can’t seem to count the stitches properly. I always get a different number, and never the number I should be having according to the pattern. Well, I can tell that I’ve grown a bit because instead of getting upset and taking the whole thing down and telling myself that I’m such a failure, I’ve decided to take a break and come back to it in a few days. Growth, right there. Kindness to oneself is so difficult!
I’ve also been practising kindness to myself in my work this week. My inner dictator was particularly energetic and was there to criticize everything I did and also what I didn’t do. It’s quite impressive for her to have opinions on absolutely everything! When I noticed this, I wrapped myself in a metaphorical warm blanket, made sure I was okay and kept going. It’s not easy, it can be uncomfortable, but I’m glad I decided to trust myself and be kinder to myself instead of believing everything this inner dictator said. And guess what, I’ve actually started reworking the storyboard I was telling you about last week. And it wasn’t as scary as I made it to be in my head. And I’m excited to move forward with this book.
So, if your inner dictator is particularly present, here’s the permission to be kinder to yourself you’ve been waiting for. We’ve got this!
It must be official since there’s a real coupon! You can print it, leave a copy on your desk, in your wallet, give it to yourself or a friend!
New in store

A small treat…
I’ve had this song stuck in my head for the last few days. The video is low-key, but the scenery is incredible, and I enjoyed it! I hope you’ll enjoy it too!
